Purity of the SourceDeeside Mineral Water flows from a natural spring in one of the most beautiful, unspoilt parts of Scotland. It is remote, located 600 feet above sea level in the middle of the Grampian Hills and lies within the protected area of the Cairngorm National Park, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With no people, pollution, farming or anything else on the hills, just heather and wilderness, the pure waters are allowed to flow as nature intended. Over 1 billion litres of rain fall in only 1 square mile around the springs every year, although the catchment area extends far beyond this, into the hills. The water spends around 50 years being gently filtered through the layers of underground rock and millions of miles of crevices, during which time its unique qualities are absorbed and captured. The water then flows through a series of underground fault lines before emerging naturally under its own pressure from the artesian springs on the hillside.
This natural process has remained unchanged for thousands of years and gives the water its special properties. We believe in nature and the process which provides this unique water, which is why we only use what the springs provide under their own pressure. We will never sink boreholes to pump out more water than the springs can offer. This makes us almost unique in the world of water. We think natural is best!
