The Bottling Process

The bottling process is as simple and efficient as it can be to protect the natural qualities in the water.

Water emerging from the protected springs is piped about 70 metres to storage tanks beside the bottling hall.Pumps feed the water into the rinsing machine, which rinses each bottle with Deeside Mineral Water, before filling. The filler and capper work together to ensure bottles are filled and sealed quickly, before moving down the bottling line to an air dryer to remove moisture from the bottles. This means that the labels and date codes can be applied smoothly and without smudging. The bottles are then packed into trays and shrink wrapped, before the cases are built onto pallets to be delivered to customers.

The bottling line was completely upgraded in 2005 with modern, efficient equipment installed, capable of producing 5000 bottle per hour in a range of sizes – both plastic and glass. The whole process is effective and hygienic to ensure the highest quality water and presentation for our customers.  A new warehouse was built in 2007, adding considerable capacity to the production operation and improving storage and deliveries. The company is capable of producing significant volumes of water each day, whilst retaining the personal touch of a family business.
